Miley Cyrus has given fans the ultimate throwback by debuting a new Hannah Montana-inspired hairstyle.
The blonde singer played the role of Hannah in the eponymous Disney Channel series from 2006 to 2011, and took to social media on Thursday (28Mar19) to share her new look, which she claimed was inspired by the much-loved character.
"You know guys, it was so hard going back and forth that I decided I’ll just be Hannah forever," Miley said in a video posted to her Twitter page, while she captioned the post: "Icons only! #HannahMontana"
In the clip, the Wrecking Ball hitmaker was sporting long bangs and a choppy beach style, and she later reassured fans that the style was not a wig, writing "ALL ME!" alongside an article speculating that she was using extensions.
Miley went on to post a series of videos on her Instagram Stories, which showed the 26-year-old singing along to the Hannah Montana theme song, The Best of Both Worlds, as she drove in her car at night.
In a later post, the star shared a selfie of herself taken in a bathroom mirror, which she captioned: "Hannah is punk now!"
In the picture, the star wears a black, oversize Alice Cooper T-shirt accessorized with an assortment of jewelry, including several gold bracelets and a gold chain choker.
Miley, who is married to actor Liam Hemsworth, 29, also made sure that her wedding ring was on full display as she took the picture.
Earlier in the week, Miley had followed a new @HannahMontana page on Instagram, leading fans to speculate that the hit series was going to get a reboot.
