Well Montreal, seems like most schools will be closed during the total solar eclipse!

Back in February, Lester B. Pearson, Sir Wilfrid Laurier and English Montreal school boards had all announced that they would be rescheduling their pedagogical days so that kids can stay home for the solar eclipse.

French school boards Commission scolaire Marguerite-Bourgeois, Commission scolaire de Montréal and Commission scolaire de la Pointe-de-l'Île have also decided to follow through and reschedule their own pedagogical days on April 8.

If you're looking for activities to do during the day of the eclipse with your family or friends, Parc Jean-Drapeau is hosting a bunch of festivities throughout the day! Artists and entertainment will be on hand from 11 a.m. onwards to keep you entertained throughout the day.

You can still grab sunglasses offered by the city of Montreal in public libraries.
