Once again, major construction work in key areas will cause road closures in the Montreal area over the weekend. Three key areas will be heavily affected: TURCOT, MERCIER and CHAMPLAIN. Each will have infrastructure closed between Friday and Monday, so drivers will need to plan their itineraries accordingly.
As always, the biggest chunk of work is centered around the ongoing construction and demolition work in the Turcot interchange. Ramps from ALL DIRECTIONS to the 15-N will be closed. Additionally, ramps from 15-S to 20-W and 136-E will be closed from Friday to Monday.
Mercier will be worse off this weekend than it’s been recently. The southbound side will be CLOSED completely between 2:00 a.m. Saturday and 5:00 a.m. Monday. Vehicles will still be able to cross southbound, thanks to a lane deviation, but expect DELAYS IN BOTH DIRECTIONS.
Some of the roads and on-ramps around the Champlain bridge construction site are being closed by SSL.
GLEN & NOTRE-DAME
Chemin Glen and Rue Notre-Dame will both be closed where they cross underneath Turcot. These closures last from 10:00 p.m. Friday to 5:00 a.m. Monday. Refer to the maps below for an exact illustration.
