There is no excuse to drive drunk this Holiday season… And it could even land you in some serious hot water, or worse. Quebec’s various police forces, namely the Sûreté du Québec as well as municipal forces, are increasing their presence on the province’s roads until January 3rd. The Holiday season is always a time of the year when drivers are more at risk of consuming alcohol.

Driving while impaired is a criminal offence. Impairment can mean many things, including excess alcohol consumption, drug consumption and even fatigue. Drivers caught behind the wheel while impaired face consequences including licence suspension, vehicle seizure and a minimum fine of $1,000.
