Lorde wants to wear Simon & Garfunkel, Phil Collins and Neil Young tour merchandise when she hits the road in March.
Lorde has asked her fans to donate vintage music merchandise that she can wear on her upcoming world tour.
The Royals hitmaker kicks off her shows in Wisconsin, America, in March (18), and finishes her trek in Manchester, England, in June.
And while she’ll have a whole team of stylists and designers on call, Lorde has decided she wants second-hand T-shirts to rock while she’s on the road. And for fans that are able to help, she’s offered to swap them a personalized T-shirt she made herself.
“ok time to quit playing,” she posted on Twitter. need to rep my heroes on this tour. if anyone has any GENUINE/AUTHENTIC -crosby, stills, nash/& young -paul simon/simon & garfunkel -phil collins merch they would part with... i’ll swap it for a homedrawn tshirt by me! (sic).”
Fans were quick to offer up garments, with people sending in photos of their mum and dad’s old T-shirts as well as their own.
Lorde was clearly excited by what she was being shown, and replied to numerous fans telling them “yes!” over and over again.
Since bursting onto the music scene in 2013, the 21-year-old New Zealand native has stayed true to her Gothic and retro style.
She previously explained to Britain's InStyle magazine comfort is key when it comes to her stage outfits.
"I don't like to be constricted when I'm on stage, so comfort is important,” she shared. “I've been wearing a Stella McCartney suit and a bunch of really crazy Rick Owens jumpsuits. I usually wear flats so I can dance around."
