St. Patrick’s Parade Moved for the First Time in 50 Years

St. Patrick’s Parade Moved for the First Time in 50 Years

The St. Patrick’s Day parade is a Montreal classic. The event celebrates its 195th anniversary this year, and is always a great time! It’s happening on March 18. We’ll be there of course, as we are every year… Except this time, there will be a major difference:

For the first time in 50 years, the St. Patrick’s Day parade will NOT be held on Sainte-Catherine Street!

Due to much-needed renovation work, this year’s parade will be held on De Maisonneuve, the United Irish Societies of Montreal explained in a Twitter post, along with a map of the new route.

We hope to see you again this year at the St. Patrick’s Day parade!
