Viral Video of Penguins “Holding Fins”

Viral Video of Penguins “Holding Fins”

Penguins live only in the Southern Hemisphere. These curious-looking little birds are flightless, and although they dwell on land, in some ways, they are more like fish. They have elongated, oval-shaped bodies and webbed feet that act like a flipper underwater.

Most importantly though, their wings are actually a lot more like the fins you’d find on a fish. These natural-born fishers breed and nest on rocky coastlines. Males take turns with their mates to watch their young and fish for food.

But sometimes, they get to spend a bit of time together… In this video posted to Twitter by user @freakingdani, a pair of South African penguins are seen “holding fins”!

It’s not surprising that the clip quickly went viral, and has now accumulated 80 000 views! So cute!
