Concordia University’s Health, Kinesiology and Applied Physiology students are organizing the 12 annual Wellness Week Fundraiser. Wellness Week is a week-long fundraiser that supports a different organization or cause each year. This year, the proceeds raised during Wellness Week will go towards Motionball, which is a non-profit organization that raises awareness and provides funding for the Special Olympics. All proceeds raised will be used to support and promote athletes with disabilities as well as aid them with the purchase of team uniforms, travel expenses, equipment, tournament costs. Proceeds will also help to support Motionball’s “Healthy Athlete programs”.
- When: Monday March 2nd to Thursday March 5th
- Time: 8am to 4pm from Monday to Thursday
- Where: Concordia University, 7141 Sherbrooke Street West, Montreal, Qc. H4B 1R6. It will be in the RF building
The event will consist of a variety of fitness classes, ranging from bootcamp classes to spinning, yoga, Pilates, etc. For a $10 donation, individuals will be able to schedule and attend hour-long classes, which will be given every day of the week. There will also be relaxation massages for a $20 donation, where individuals may receive a 30-minute relaxation massage from an Athletic Therapy student who has been trained in relaxation massage techniques.
