BE AN ALLY THIS SUMMER: GET MOVING AGAINST BREAST CANCER
The Quebec Breast Cancer Foundation and its major partner, National Bank, are asking Quebecers to get moving from July 6 to September 27, 2020 with the third edition of The Pink Tour! Accessible to everyone, the purpose of this challenge is to raise funds to support the fight against breast cancer.
Across Quebec, participants are safely rallying around this unifying cause, the fight against breast cancer, despite the COVID-19 pandemic. The Pink Tour does not require people to gather in groups. Participants can cover kilometres at their own pace, doing the activity of their choice, while collecting donations to support those affected by breast cancer and their loved ones.
A CHALLENGE FOR ALL!
Now more than ever, thousands of Quebec families affected by breast cancer need us. We raised $30,000 in 2018 and $120,000 in 2019, and this year’s goal has been set at $360,000.
Participants can register alone or as a team (with friends, family members or colleagues.) The Pink Tour offers three distance goals to cover between July 6 and September 27, 2020: 20, 100 or 500 kilometers. Walking, cycling, on a treadmill, canoeing or even jumping: any way of covering the distance is valid.
In order to maximize their impact, participants are invited to create their own fundraising page on the Pink Tour portal and to promote it to raise funds.
“The Pink Tour is a unifying event! Anyone can participate! The challenge can be tailored to your lifestyle, schedule, fitness level and favourite activities, regardless of where you live.” Mitsou Gélinas, Quebec Breast Cancer Foundation volunteer spokesperson.
