Le Grand Spectacle (in English, “The Big Spectacle”) is Montreal’s biggest Saint-Jean-Baptiste day celebration. Held on June 23rd every year, it’s a huge showcase of Quebec’s best talent at Montreal’s Place des Festivals. Many HUGE Quebec artists will be performing, including Michel Rivard, Claude Dubois and Klô Pelgag.
Imagine Monkland
All weekend, the Monkland Village in NDG will be transformed into an “out-of-this-world experience around monsters and mythical creatures”. Tons of activities, including pop-up sales, outdoor concerts and more, are on the menu!
Saint-Jean Parade

The traditional Saint-Jean-Baptiste parade is held the day after the “Grand Spectacle”. Two parades are held on De Maisonneuve Boulevard: one goes East from Peel Street, while the other goes West from Saint-Denis Street. They meet in the middle at Place des Festivals for one huge final celebration!
Parc Jean-Drapeau Aquatic Complex
After being closed all summer last year for renovations, the aquatic complex is reopened with great fanfare! Join The Beat squad on Monday for a day of activities and games, prizes to win, fun in the sun and, of course, swimming!
