Actor Don Cheadle has accused U.S. President Donald Trump of using a racial slur around a friend's father.
The Iron Man star has long been critical of the U.S. leader and on Saturday (04Mar17), the 52-year-old expressed his disdain for Trump started after he allegedly used a slur around his friend's father while they were playing golf.
"Hated him since he asked my friend's father at a Doral pro-am if he'd ever "f**ked a n**ger..." Did it for me..." he wrote on Twitter after a fan posted, "@DonCheadle I've been following you since you made me laugh with that political boat posing reply. You were Trump hating way before (many of his scandals)."
Cheadle's response set off a firestorm of positive and negative messages from his followers, but he kept writing about his disgust towards Trump.
"Many already know this to be in his nature," he added. "It's not hidden. And those who can't see it, might never. The story would have changed little (if I said anything before the election)."
When one follower questioned Cheadle's claims he wrote back, "They were in a 4ball (game of two teams with two players each) together. The Donald thought they were all "like minded." Mistook their shock for disgust."
"He went on to clarify, "No, no, it's great!" and some more stuff before they just teed off in silence," he added.
President Trump has yet to respond to the actor's allegations, but this isn't the first time Cheadle has blasted the 70-year-old. Last year (16), he attacked the president for trying to politicise the shooting death of sportsman Dwyane Wade's cousin in Chicago, Illinois. After the tragic incident, Trump, who was the Republican candidate at the time, decided to use the tragedy as an opportunity to call attention to his political campaign, taking to his own Twitter account in August (16) to comment.
"Dwayne Wade's cousin was just shot and killed walking her baby in Chicago," he wrote. "Just what I have been saying. African-Americans will VOTE TRUMP!"
In addition to misspelling Dwyane's name, Trump neglected to offer his condolences to the Chicago Bulls star and his family, prompting Don to criticize the billionaire businessman's actions.
"You are truly a POS (piece of s**t)," he tweeted, before launching another incendiary diss against the Republican nominee, adding,
"Sorry. I misspelled 'die in a grease fire'."
