The Duchess of Sussex wore jewelry supporting her father-in-law Prince Charles' charity at the British Fashion Awards earlier this week.

The mother-to-be took the stage at the ceremony on Monday (10Dec18) to present her wedding dress creator, Clare Waight Keller, with the British Designer of the Year prize. The 37 year old stunned in an off-the-shoulder Givenchy gown, Tamara Mellon Karat sandals and a striking set of accessories, including studded earrings and chunky bangles, which have a connection to her husband Prince Harry's father.

The pieces were designed by Pippa Small as part of the Turquoise Mountain foundation, which Prince Charles helped launch. The organization works with artisans in Afghanistan and helps sell items available in the region as a means of bringing about economic growth.

The Wajiha bangle, Omeen bangle and Oshna bangle are currently available through the charity's website.

Keller thanked the Duchess after her unannounced Fashion Awards appearance for trusting her to design her history-making wedding gown.

"I got to know Meghan on such a personal level,” she said. “To have someone like that trust you in an incredible moment in their life is something that is just the most unbelievable honor. I can’t thank you enough because it was the most beautiful moment.”

Keller, who serves as the creative director of Givenchy, told Grazia after the event she was shocked to see the former actress at the awards show, having just met with her for fittings for the dress she ended up wearing to the prizegiving.

"I was actually fitting her for the dress last week and she said, 'Oh I’m going to this thing next week, I think it’s Monday or Tuesday night, I have to check my calendar'. I just did not think anything of it. Then she walked in!"
