Rachel Bilson encourages her young daughter to pick out her own outfits each day.
The actress and her former partner Hayden Christensen are parents to daughter Briar, who they welcomed in October 2014.
While Rachel has already carved out a reputation for herself as a sartorial star, she has now shared that she doesn't try and push her own style onto her four-year-old.
"She's at the age where she likes to dress herself," she told Bella magazine. "I let her choose what she wants to wear; sometimes she has her dress on backwards with a bandana in her hair, or shoes on the wrong feet, but I just think, 'You know what, express yourself.'"
Along with motherhood, Rachel has been juggling screen roles, with her most recent roles having been in TV shows Nashville and Take Two. Considering how becoming a parent had changed her life, the brunette beauty explained: "It has really reminded me to be present because kids are extremely present. They're not worrying about what's happening tomorrow, in the future, or even what's happened in the past."
Previously, former The O.C. star Rachel spoke to InStyle magazine about the way in which her wardrobe has changed since having Briar. And she explained that she wished all mothers had access to affordable yet stylish items.
"Every woman deserves to be able to buy what they want and feel good in what they're wearing. Just to be able to afford clothes you actually want to buy is huge, and everyone should be able to wear the things that they love," she smiled.
