A top stylist expects the Duchess of Sussex will wear Victoria Beckham's designs throughout her pregnancy.

The 37-year-old expectant mother stepped out for her first Christmas celebration as a member of the royal family on Tuesday (25Dec18), wearing head to toe Beckham items, and now celebrity fashion guru Lucas Armitage has predicted Prince Harry's wife, formerly actress Meghan Markle, will make the Spice Girls star's designs a wardrobe staple, despite the fact the Duchess once insisted she didn't have the shape for the former pop star's pieces.

"Obviously pregnancy changes the body vastly and means expectant mothers will reassess what works and what doesn’t," he told The Daily Mail. "This time VB made the cut."

The Duchess' Christmas Day choice of clothing is somewhat surprising given the fact she previously told Glamour in 2017 that dresses from Beckham's line didn't compliment her figure.

"What I’m starting to learn is, even though things look amazing on the hanger, it doesn’t mean they’re going to look amazing on me,” she told the magazine. “For example, I love Victoria Beckham dresses, but I don’t have the long torso to support that silhouette."

Markle opted for a navy wool mini-dress and matching coat from the star's collection, which Armitage believes she will likely choose to wear again before she gives birth.

"The knitted dress is a perfect maternity number as its stretch will form a flattering fit and will be a useful piece throughout her first pregnancy."

The Duchess, who wed Harry in May (18), is due to give birth early in the new year.
