If 2018 was the year of #MeToo, should 2019 be the year of #LoveMyself? We think so!
Whatever you make of 2019, the trends of a single year always pale in comparison to those of an era in which we are living. The era of Facebook, Instagram and filters, the era of always showing your best side, makes it very difficult to rationalize your own body issues...
We've all experienced it: the über-popular Instagrammers we see on our small screens with their seemingly perfect lives, perfect bodies and flawless self-image are always in the back of our minds when we take our own selfies. For some, the solution is to keep a safe distance from all the hype: less social media is an option!
But for many of us, that's simply not an option: the power of the Internet to connect us to friends near and far is too useful and powerful a tool to pass over. That's why BuzzFeed News asked their readers to chime in on how THEY intend to love their bodies in 2019. The 19 answers selected by BuzzFeed staff are chock-full of inspiring New Year's resolutions.
Take one upon yourself... Or find inspiration in them to think up an entirely new resultion custom-made for your own self... But if you didn't love your body in 2018, it's time to do something about it!
