Rihanna’s make-up artist was nervous when she first started working with the Rude Girl singer, as she's such a pro at creating her own look.
Priscilla Ono has been on hand to help out the Fenty Beauty mogul since 2011 on the set of a video, although she was never meant to be doing Rihanna’s make-up.
“When I first started doing her make-up it was a little nerve-wracking just because she’s so good herself, but then after a while it just made me feel more comfortable because I feel like she gets it,” Priscilla told Refinery29.
“I met her on the set of one of her music videos S&M. I was actually doing make-up for the background, and when she got at set I feel like as soon as I looked at her, she kind of looked at me and she came up to me and she started complimenting me right away, like ‘I love your hair, it’s so cool! I love your skin, you have great skin!’ Just being so down to earth and cool like a girlfriend.”
From there, Rihanna asked if Priscilla would like to star in the video, and the two began their partnership.
And as well as being Rihanna’s personal make-up artist, Priscilla also works as Fenty Beauty’s global make-up artist.
The beauty brand recently launched a 50-shade concealer line, the Fenty Pro Filt’r Instant Retouch, to go alongside its extensive foundation collection.
“Well we had to have a shade for every foundation – we have 50 foundations. Everyone deserves their perfect concealer shade. It was only right,” she smiled.
