Rita Ora has launched her shoe collection with Giuseppe Zanotti with a glitzy celebration at Saks Fifth Avenue in Beverly Hills on Thursday (24Jan19).
It was announced earlier this month that the pair would be teaming up, with Rita bringing her design skills, which she previously honed with collections for Adidas, on a five-piece range.
Modeling the Bonnie design, a towering black sandal featuring perspex straps and a gold chain effect heel, Rita teamed her shoe with an animal print Dundas dress at the launch.
All five of the shoes feature the gold chain heel. The rest of the collection is made up of two slouchy heeled boots in either black and red, and two patent leather sandals, again in red or black.
Prices range from $895 (£684) to $1995 (£1525)
Talking about the collaboration, shoe designer to the stars Giuseppe explained how he was inspired by Body on Me singer Rita’s personality when it came to creating the collection.
“I wanted to create a series of styles that represents the three different facets of Rita: glamour, effortlessness and cool,” he told lofficielusa.com. “Music has always been at the centre of my design ethos and has always been my most powerful muse. The music world is an endless source of inspiration and Rita, with her extraordinary mix of sensuality and strength, proved to be a very powerful muse too.
“So we created knock-out stiletto sandals, to-the-knee, peep-toe boots as well as modern slip-on flats, in luxurious materials, like polished leather, textured suede, and rich silk-satin. But the defining element of the collection is the Cuban Link chain, which is my favorite type of jewelry. The design is immediate, graphic and strong and it resonated perfectly with Rita’s personality and style.”
