For most people, winter is an uncomfortable hindrance. The cold slows us down and increases our electricity bill, while the dark worsens our mood. However, there are ways to make winter feel happier! One of the best ways, ironically, is to play outside; it’s amazing what daylight and fresh air can do to a person’s mood.

This amazing video by fitness/dance studio Power Bhangra Montreal proves just how much fun it’s possible to have outside, even at -30°C, if you just put your mind and body into it! Power Bhangra offers classes in the traditional Bhangra folk dance style from Punjab, India. The dance is happy by nature, and you can really tell when you look at the dancers’ faces!

What are you waiting for? You don’t need to dance, although it’s a great activity – other options include going for a run or walk, or maybe take up a winter sport such as skiing, skating, snowshoeing and more!
