Luke Perry, the star of Beverly Hill, 90210 and Riverdale, has died of a massive stroke at 52, TMZ announced today.
The actor was transported to St. Joseph's Hospital in Burbank last Wednesday after suffering a stroke, and died less than a week later, surrounded by his family. Doctors had been attempting to help Luke’s brain recover by sedating him, but they failed to do so.
Luke rose to fame in the 80’s as the star of 90210. During his prolific TV career, he also appeared on “Another World,” “Oz,” “Jeremiah,” “Windfall,” “John from Cincinnati” and “Body of Proof”. More recently, he starred as Archie Andrews’ father in hit Netflix series “Riverdale”.
