The ARTM has announced that public transit fares in the Montreal area will increase in 2019. It’s the first increase for Montreal public transit users since 2015. Fares in Laval and Longueil haven’t been indexed since 2014 and 2013, respectively.

For Montreal transit users, there is a 1.7% cost increase:

  • Single trips will increase from $3.25 to $3.50 ($2.50 for youth & seniors)
  • 10 trips will increase from $28 to $29 ($17.50 for youth & seniors)
  • Monthly passes will increase from $85 to $86.50 ($52 for youth, seniors and students)

One fare will remain unchanged: bus 747 to or from the MTL-Trudeau airport will continue to cost a flat $10.
