An Air Canada passenger claims she got the fright of her life after waking up inside a dark, parked passenger jet as a result of the crew apparently forgetting her on board. The airline is reportedly "looking into" the incident, which left the passenger traumatized.
What is your biggest fear? This story would definitely count as being right up at the top of the list for most people!
In a Facebook post sent to Air Canada, a concerned friend of the presumed victim, Deanna Noel-Dale, posted a detailed description of the incident. Tiffani Adams says she fell asleep on a flight from Quebec to Toronto, only to wake up several hours after the flight had landed, still strapped into her seat, in the pitch dark. She had received several concerned texts from her friend, but her phone died after she tried to answer -- so she couldn't call for help.
Tiffani says she eventually found a flashlight and managed to open the airplane's door, attracting the attention of airport employees, who escorted her away.
An Air Canada employeed responded to the post: "Hello Deanna, we're surprised to hear that, and we're very concerned. Could you please advise Tiffani to contact us through private message with her flight details. We'll take a look into it. /Lea"
Needless to say, this report is raising many questions, including how employees could have forgotten a passenger on board a plane. This story is very scary indeed, and if it's ever confirmed to have really happened, it will certainly also raise deep concerns about airport security!
