JAZZ FESTIVAL SHOWS
There are so many shows going on for Montreal’s International Jazz Festival that it can be hard to decide what to go to! Here are a few of the top outdoor gigs happening this weekend:
- June 29, 7pm: Angelique Francis at the Hyundai Stage (Clark / De Montigny)
- June 30, 9pm: Dawn Tyler Watson at the Hyundai Stage (Clark / De Montigny)
- July 1st, 8pm: Lorraine Klaasen at the Rio Tinto Stage (De Maisonneuve / Jeanne-Mance)
FIREWORKS
This Saturday, La Ronde welcomes the opening night of the International des Feux Loto-Québec! This year’s competition is the 35th anniversary, and the opening night will celebrate the music of 1985, the year the fireworks competition started.
Watch the fireworks at La Ronde for the best view and sound (tickets here) – or from the Jacques-Cartier Bridge, which will be closed for the occasion.
CANADA DAY CELEBRATIONS
Aside from Canada Day celebrations at the Old Port, there are many other activities going on! Smaller neighbourhood celebrations are happening all across the country – but you can also attend the official Montreal Canada Day Parade at 11am on Sainte-Catherine Street.
