Mattel has officially launched a line of collectible Star Wars Barbie dolls. The toymaker teamed up with Disney to reimagine characters from the classic 1977 film ‘Star Wars: A New Hope’ as Barbie dolls.

Villainous Sith Lord Darth Vader is reimagined as a black-clad bad girl with dark sunglasses in lieu of the classic mask that made Darth Vader’s fame. Robot R2D2 is reimagined in womanly form, whereas Princess Leia is much the same as in the movies, except with brown hair.

These truly are collectible items – each doll can be pre-ordered for $100 USD on Amazon. They will be released on November 18, 2019.

‘Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker’, the ninth and final feature film installment of the Star Wars saga, hits theatres December 20, 2019.
