Ellie Goulding's custom Chloe wedding dress took 640 hours to make.

The Burn singer tied the knot with art dealer Caspar Jopling at York Minster cathedral in England on Saturday and walked down the aisle wearing a Victorian-style silk double crepe dress designed by Natacha Ramsay-Levi from the French luxury fashion house.

According to editors at People, the gown took 640 hours to construct as it was hand-embroidered with White Roses of York and embellished with white glass beads, while her silk tulle veil and frilled organza collar were embroidered with her and Jopling's initials.

In a statement, the 32-year-old explained that she was very involved in the design process.

"I was so thrilled and excited to collaborate with Natacha at Chloe on my wedding dress," she said. "I have loved the brand and their incredible team for years, so it only seemed right for Chloe to play a big part of this special day.

"Natacha worked alongside me to design something timeless and classic, but with all the Chloe spirit. Natacha is a very talented designer and I have admired her work from day one. I have never felt more special than the moment I first tried on the dress during my fitting in Paris, it was utterly awe-inspiring to see the craftsmanship and attention to detail."

The Chloe creative director added that they created a collage of Victorian references that they wanted to incorporate into the design.

"Her creative point of view made the process fluid and inspiring, and I feel that the end result really reflects her personal sense of style," she continued.

The British star had seven bridesmaids who wore white dresses embroidered with an organza braid which were also designed by the Chloe team, while her new husband sported a suit and tie tailored by Huntsman.
