Jessica Simpson is showing off her trim figure after shedding 100 pounds (45 kilograms) following the birth of her third child.

The singer-turned-fashion mogul gave birth to daughter Birdie back in March, and on Tuesday, she took to Instagram to share her incredible transformation, posting an image of herself in a form-fitting black dress.

"6 months. 100 pounds down (Yes, I tipped the scales at 240)," she wrote. "My first trip away from #BIRDIEMAE and emotional for many reasons, but so proud to feel like myself again."

The 39-year-old also shared how she pushed herself to get back into shape after struggling through her third pregnancy.

"Even when it felt impossible, I chose to work harder," she added.

Her trainer Harley Pasternak also took to the photo-sharing site to express his support for the star.

"Beyond proud of this incredible woman. Been working together for over 12 years and she’s always the most warm, sweet, polite, and respectful person in the world," he wrote. "And on top of it all, after being nonstop pregnant for as long as I can remember, she’s down 100 pounds and looks younger today than she was when we met."

Simpson is also mum to daughter Maxwell, seven, and son Ace, six.
