Harry and Meghan, Duke and Duchess of Sussex, have amassed quite a large Instagram following since launching their own official account in April… But having 9.6 million followers means you really can’t afford to make any mistakes!

Harry and Meghan are finding this out the hard way after posting a quote from American civil rights activist Maya Angelou. Angelou famously wrote “Each time a woman stands up for herself, without knowing it possibly, without claiming it, she stands up for all women.”

The only problem is, the @sussexroyal Instagram account misspelled “woman” in Angelou’s quote, writing “women” instead! The quote, posted on Monday, is still visible on @sussexroyal.

The royal couple’s followers were quick to point out the mistake. Of the 4,830 comments, at least half appear to be pointing out the embarrassing typo!

Meghan, an avid social media poster before her marriage to Harry, was forced to close her personal Instagram account when she married the prince, in accordance with royal protocol.
