After postponing six Montreal shows to fight a throat virus, Céline Dion struggled to find her voice during an Ottawa concert Tuesday night.
Her return to the big stage at Ottawa’s Canadian Tire Centre didn’t exactly go as planned. A few songs into the show, Céline interrupted her performance to apologize to the crowd. “I was feeling strong this afternoon,” she said after explaining she was struggling to find her voice.
The Journal de Montréal reports the rest of the show went well after a few false notes at the beginning. However, Céline did remove two songs from her set: ‘All By Myself’ and ‘Regarde-moi’.
At the end of a difficult evening, Céline did make sure to thank her fans, saying it was “difficult” for her, but that “you carried me, you sang with me, you encouraged me.”
Céline returns to Ottawa’s Canadian Tire Centre Wednesday night, after which her ‘Courage’ tour brings her to Cleveland, OH.
Meanwhile, Céline has also announced the official release date for her upcoming ‘Courage’ album, which hits shelves November 15.
