A prequel series based on the “Game of Thrones” companion book “Fire & Blood” is set to be released on HBO.

HBO announced Tuesday; the series will be titled “House of the Dragon.” It will be based 300 years before the events of “Game of Thrones,” and will tell the story of House Targaryen. The series was given 10 episodes by HBO. Game of Thrones creators are looking forward to exploring the origins of House Targaryen.
