For once, there are almost as many new road openings as closures to announce for this weekend in Montreal. Here is everything you’ll need to know to plan your movements on the weekend of November 15-17.
TURCOT & METROPOLITAN - CLOSURES
Coming from Décarie, the 15-S will be closed, forcing southbound motorists to use Exit 64 (Sherbrooke). This means all three ramps to 20-W, to 136-E and to 15-S/20-E will be inaccessible from the southbound Décarie Expressway. All closures: 11:59pm Friday to 5am Monday.
There are also night closures to watch out for: the 20-W from Turcot will be closed overnight Friday to Saturday (11:59pm to 9am) and Sunday to Monday (10pm to 5am). The access ramp from 15-N to 10-W (Exit 63) will also be closed overnight Friday to Saturday (11:59pm to 10am) and Sunday to Monday (9pm to 5am).
Lastly, Exit 66 will be closed on the 40-W, 11:59pm Friday to 5am Monday.
TURCOT - OPENINGS
Here is where the good news starts!
Starting at 5am Monday, motorists will benefit from two new access ramps in the Turcot area. The on-ramp at Girouard will open, and the ramp from 15-S to 20-W will also open.
SAINT-JACQUES – NEW RAMP
Saint-Jacques Street, which crosses over Décarie Expressway just North of Turcot, is also getting a new access ramp. Motorists will be able to use this strategically located street to access Highway 15-N, providing much-needed relief for NDG and Westmount residents.
