Service on the Blue Line and Orange Line of Montreal's metro has resumed following shutdowns on both lines. The service desruption on the Montreal metro Blue line between Snowdon and Saint-Michel and orange line between Cote-Vertu and Lionel-Groulx stations had been shut down due to the presence of smoke.

The STM says the presence of smoke was caused by an overheated tire on a metro car.

This is yet another service disruption since last weeks shut down, due to a water main break.
