The GRAMMY Nominations for 2020 are in, and women lead the pack! Lizzo and Billie Eilish came out on top of the nominees list, and will compete in several top categories.

‘Juice’ and ‘Truth Hurts’ hitmaker Lizzo, a newcomer to the GRAMMYs, picked up an impressive 8 nominations from the Recording Academy. 'Bad Guy' singer Billie Eilish, just 17, and 'Old Town Road' rapper Lil Nas X, each picked up 6 nominations.

Billie Eilish, Lil Nas X and Lizzo will compete for honours in three major categories: Best New Artist, Record of the Year and Album of the Year.

Women are finally well represented in this year’s GRAMMY nominations, two years after former Recording Academy President Neil Portnow said they needed to “step up”. This year, women received 7 of the 8 nominations for Song of the Year; 5 of the 8 nominations for Album of the Year; 4 of the 8 nominations for Record of the Year; and 6 of the 8 nominations for Best New Artist (funk fusion band Tank and the Bangas, who won NPR’s Tiny Desk competition, are fronted by a female lead singer).

The 2020 GRAMMYs will be held January 26, 2020, from 8-11pm EST at Staples Center in Los Angeles.
