Have you got the sniffles? Like thousands of other Quebeckers, if winter weather is taking a toll on your health, you may need to see a doctor. Did you know that since last winter, special “winter clinics” have been available across the province to reduce pressure on already-overloaded emergency rooms?

People with non-urgent medical needs such as the flu or gastro-intestinal issues are urged to visit these seasonal relief clinics rather than Quebec’s overcrowded hospital emergency rooms. The winter clinics are also equipped to handle any other minor medical issue.

A total of 55 winter clinics are open across the province, 26 of which are in Montreal.

A list of open clinics is available on Quebec’s website.
