According to long term forecasts, Canadians are in for a warmer winter than usual this year. That’s great news if you’re the type to crave warmer weather during the dark season… Here’s the low-down of what kinds of weather to expect in the coming months.
Dave Phillips, senior climatologist at Environment Canada, told CTV that Canadians should expect a “milder than normal winter”. He doesn’t think we’ll see any “below-average temperatures for any place in Canada.”
Earlier long-term forecasts predicted a long, cold, snowy winter.
These new predictions match those published by the Old Farmer’s Almanac, which calls for temperatures “near normal in the east and above normal in the west,” with above-normal temperatures being especially present in December and in February.
