Mark Wahlberg has stunned fans by showing off his physical transformation after six months of fitness training.

The Transformers: Age of Extinction actor took to Instagram to debut his new hard body, showing off a perfect, muscle-laden gladiator physique.

"Six months of Performance Inspired Nutrition, Aquahydrate, and F45 training!! Clean eating. Inspired to be better, team training / life changing," the 48-year-old wrote in the caption attached to a shirtless picture of himself wearing a gold cross necklace.

Mark took part in high-intensity group workout classes at F45 Training centres, which also boast other celebrity clients like J Balvin and Teri Hatcher, to boost his body. Earlier this year, it was revealed the actor had invested in the fitness franchise, which was founded in Australia in 2012.

He also relied on products from his own health supplement company, Performance Inspired Nutrition, and the electrolyte-infused water brand AQUAhydrate, which he co-founded with Sean 'Diddy' Combs, to help with his dietary needs during the six-month health and fitness bender.

Mark is well-known for his intense commitment to working out and looking good, grabbing headlines last year for an extreme daily schedule that involved him waking up before 4am to spend time in a cryotherapy chamber before exercising for hours.

Desperate Housewives star Teri also recently shared the stunning results of her eight-week challenge with the F45 program, and shared unretouched photos of herself in a bikini on social media to show her fans and followers.

She said she chose to follow the regime "not to lose weight but to be healthy and feel better and to lift weights and get stronger."
