Renee Zellweger stood out from the crowd in a baby blue gown at the 2020 Golden Globes on Sunday night.

The actress collected the prize for Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture - Drama for her portrayal of Judy Garland in Rupert Goold's film Judy at the awards ceremony held at The Beverly Hilton hotel in Los Angeles.

Renee made a rare red carpet appearance for the event and certainly turned heads in a strapless dress with crystal detailing on the bodice custom-made for her by the designers at Armani Prive. The 50-year-old's ensemble was put together by Petra Flannery, with the stylist completing the look with shoes from Jimmy Choo and David Webb jewellery.

"Armani exemplifies Hollywood glamour, yet always adopts a modern approach to dressing," Flannery told British Vogue of working with the team at the Italian fashion house. "The shapes are often sleek and statuesque. This dress in particular exudes these qualities with its column silhouette and half-moon curvature at the top. The polished and graceful details mirror Renee's style."

Among the other celebrities to wear blue on the night was Glenn Close, who sported a navy velvet outfit from Armani Prive along with Cartier earrings, Shailene Woodley, who wore a blue and black sequin Balmain gown, and Sacha Baron Cohen, who donned an electric blue Dolce & Gabbana tuxedo.

Meanwhile, the other major fashion trend for the bash was red outfits. Nicole Kidman wowed in a strapless crimson Atelier Versace gown, Scarlett Johansson chose a bright red dress with plunging neckline from Vera Wang, Olivia Coleman wore a red dress with dramatic sleeves from Emilia Wickstead, and Lauren Graham donned a fiery one-shoulder look from Azzi & Osta.
