Environment Canada is warning of heavy snowfall coming to the Montreal area starting Wednesday evening, and intensifying overnight. This will likely make your Thursday morning commute difficult, so here’s what to expect.
Up to 15cm of snow is expected to accumulate south of a line stretching from Montreal to Sherbrooke. Local blowing snow will bring much more accumulation to certain areas.
The only silver lining is that this storm system is still far away – it was over Texas early Tuesday. That means its track could still deviate, influencing the amount and type of precipitation we end up getting. However, no matter what happens, there will be some precipitation in Montreal this week, so be prepared!
