Snowfall Warning: Up to 35 cm Expected in Southern Quebec

Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement for the Montreal area as well as the Eastern Townships. Snow is expected Thursday and Friday, with accumulations reaching up to 35 cm in some areas through Saturday.

The storm is expected to include freezing rain as well, especially Thursday night to Friday morning, near the American border.

The metropolitan area could receive up to 25 cm between Thursday morning and Saturday morning. In the Eastern Townships, more snow is expected, up to 35 cm.

“Travel conditions could be difficult,” Environment Canada writes on its website. Use extra caution on the roads!
