Do you enjoy the occasional nap? Then we have good news for you! A study has found that people who nap regularly have fewer heart problems than people who don’t.
The research was conducted at the University Hospital of Lausanne by a team of four researchers, and published in Heart Magazine. They looked at the napping habits and heart health of 3,500 adults.
Their results showed that people who take regular daytime naps (once or twice per week) had 48% fewer heart attacks or strokes than non-nappers. That’s great news if you’re a nap-taker, as those extra hours spent sleeping during the day may help you live a longer and healthier life.
