We have a Ninth case of COVID-19 in Quebec and another school; Academie Louis-Pasteur is suspending classes because a student is being tested for COVID-19. Montreal’s College International Marie de France has suspended classes for a student being tested for COVID19; schools in general are asking parents to follow government guidelines and travel advisories.
So far all the cases in Quebec have been with people getting back from travelling abroad; there’ve been no community cases yet, so the risk of contracting COVID-19 is still considered low – and Anyone with COVID19 questions are being directed to call 811
To help in the fight against COVID 19, the STM is boosting its cleaning regime on all public transit. It won’t be daily, they just don’t have the staff, but the STM says metro cars, stations and buses will be getting disinfected at least twice a week.
The STM also says taking public transit is safe, that the risk of COVID-19 transmission is low.
