Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has announced that Canada will be shutting the border to non-Canadian citizens or non-permanent residents. Anyone who has symptoms of COVID-19 will not be able to enter Canada.

Foreign nationals are prohibited from staying in Canada, except Americans. Trudeau said that American citizens will still be able to cross the Canada-US border. On the other hand, he said that anyone with symptoms of the flu will be banned from flying on a plane with Canada as its destination.

Trudeau announced that the virus is spreading quickly, so Canada is taking exceptional measures to keep all Canadians safe. Trudeau also announced flight restrictions, all international flights will be rerouted to Montreal, Toronto, Calgary or Vancouver.

Trudeau urges Canadians to come home while they still can.
