Transat starts suspending flights

Montreal-based Air Transat said on Wednesday that they are gradually suspending flights until April 30th and laying off employees, as countries are closing their borders and telling travelers to stay home during the COVID-19 pandemic. 

Over the next two weeks, Transat said they will operate to get as many Canadians back into the country.

Sunwing Airlines, said it is suspending outbound flights and issuing layoffs

WestJet Airlines will halt international and U.S. flights as of March 23.
