Legault said that Quebec will come to the financial aid for food banks

The Premier of Quebec, François Legault, said that there are now 1,629 cases of coronavirus, an increase of 290 from yesterday, a total of 8 deaths that is 2 more since yesterday, 106 are being treated in the hospital and 43 are in intensive care. 46 health care workers in Quebec have contracted COVID-19. There are 2,622 Quebecers who are awaiting test results; 31,854 tests have come back negative.
60% of people affected had traveled recently.

Legault said that Quebec will come to the financial aid for food banks to meet the increase in demand. Premier Legault is asking for those who are younger than 70 years old to volunteer to help the population. Quebec is also launching a new WEBSITE where people can go to volunteer in their community.

 

Quebec still remains under a province-wide lockdown, with only essential businesses and services allowed to continue operations until April 13.
