Quebec now has 5518 confirmed cases that is 907 more cases since yesterday. A total of 6 deaths that is 3 more than yesterday. 365 people are in the hospital that is 58 more then yesetrday and 96 people are in intensive care. 

Primier François Legault warned Quebecers that the police had been instructed to give fines to those who do not respect the distancing measures imposed by the government. The companies that are open despite bans will also be severely punished.

It is serious. There are lives that are in danger and if we continue to see rallies and businesses that operate when it is not essential, there will be more deaths.

Legault has also announced  a salary increases for certain workers in the health departments who are at the forefront of the coronavirus crisis. Later this afternoon, their will be more details with Christian Dubé, and the Minister of Health, Danielle McCann, to announce all the details.
