The Verdun hospital is dealing with an outbreak of COVID-19 cases. The Integrated University Health and Social Services Center of Center-Sud-de-l'Île-de-Montréal confirms that at least 40 people have been diagnosed positive in the past few hours. 5 of the 40 are doctors who are now in isolation at home.

All the patients hospitalized in the establishment underwent a screening test. Each confirmed case has been isolated. From now on, any patient who is admitted to the Verdun hospital must pass a screening test before going upstairs. The hospital has implemented a "hospital-in-hospital" concept to treat patients with COVID-19.

Negative cases go up in the cold zone while positive cases must stay in the hot zone.
