Mothers-to-be who are expected to give birth at the Jewish General Hospital will not be allowed to have their spouse in the delivery room with them due to COVID-19. The hospital’s decision came on Saturday after a pregnant Woman’s spouse was experiencing symptoms of COVID during delivery.
The hospital understands that this can all be overwhelming but for the safety of mothers-to-be and their babies, it was a decision that needed to be made.
There has now been a petition circulating around to reverse the hospitals decision that has already gathered over 50,000 signatures.
