Prime Minister Justin Trudeau was just talking about the COVID 19 projection models released earlier this morning. We’re in the early stages of the pandemic and can still determine what happens over the weeks to come. He says, IF we stay the course, we COULD hit the peak by the end of spring, with first wave ending early summer. Then, expect smaller outbreaks off and on until we find a vaccine. It all depends on how well we continue to physically distance ourselves.

He also touched on the Statistics Canada March Job Report. More than a million jobs were lost in Canada last month; the jobless rate is now at 7.8 per cent. And those numbers don’t take into account 1.3 million Canadians who didn’t get paid, but technically still have jobs, or the 800,000 Canadians who had their hours cut in half.

In Quebec, we have over 10 000 cases of COVID-19, 175 people have died and 720 have recovered - Premier Francois Legault will update those numbers at 1PM.
