Legault released the 6 names of CHSLD residences that are highly infected with COVID-19

As he does every day, the Premier of Quebec, reports on the most recent assessment of the COVID-19 pandemic in the province. There are 10,912 cases of COVID-19 that is, 881 more than yesterday. Currently, 679 people are hospitalized, including 196 in intensive care. There are 41 new deaths bringing a total toll of 216 from COVID-19. In Quebec, 99% of deaths are people aged 60 and over.

  • La Pinière in Laval
  • Notre-Dame-de-la-Merci
  • LaSalle
  • Alfred-Desrochers (Montreal)
  • Laflèche (Mauricie) centers. 

According to figures released by Statistics Canada 264,000 jobs have been lost in the past month in Quebec, making it one of the provinces hardest hit. The unemployment rate reached 8.1%.

The "peak" is expected in late spring, and the first wave should subside by the end of summer. But it will then be followed by small waves, which means that we will not have a return to normal for a year or a year and a half, until a vaccine has been developed.
