As he does every day, the Premier of Quebec François Legault, reports on the most recent assessment of the COVID-19 pandemic in the province. As of today there are 52 more deaths then yesterday bringing the total to 487. There are 14,860 positive COVID-19 cases. There are 48 more people who are in the hospital bringing a total of 984 and a reduction of 12 people in intensive care bringing a total of 218.
Legault, reminded Quebecers that there is a lack of about 2,000 nurses and health-care workers in both private and public CHSLDs for various reasons because either they are sick or in isolation.
“I don't know how to ask anymore. I've been asking for it for three days,” says François Legault.
He asks today for a third time for immediate help of medical specialists and family physicians to help those in the CHSLDs to fill the lack of staff to help patients.
