Today, and every Wednesday will be "Canada Takeout Day". Support your favorite local restaurants who are struggling during this time due to COVID-19 by ordering takeout or delivery.
The initiative is backed up by hundreds of restaurant owners. They want to encourage Canadians across the country to order takeout en-masse in a show of support for their favourite local restaurants.
It will launch with a vitural kickoff "Canada Takeout Day" concert which will feature artists such as Jim Cuddy, Alan Doyle, Ed Robertson, Barney Bentall and Tom Cochrane.
The concert will be held live at 8 p.m. ET via the Canada’s Great Kitchen Party Facebook page.
