The fight for Premier François Legault's Bill 61 is in full swing

Part of Legault’s big plan to Kick start Quebec’s economy – Bill 61 would fast-track 202 infrastructure projects over the next two years, but to do that sections of the bill would let the  Quebec government bypass some safeguards that prevent corruption, skip over environmental protection protocols and it includes a clause to let them extend the bill if needed.

So the bill is being heavily criticized by all opposition parties, environmental advocates and First Nations leaders – they all say it give the CAQ too much power and they want a complete overhaul of the bill before they vote on it and there are a few petitions circulating the internet … the CAQ is hoping to get the bill passed by Friday.
